Its no secret that I struggle with some skin concerns ( mainly acne, acne scars, discoloration, and the likes).
Recently I had the opportunity to spend some time at Youth Corridor. I have received various treatments ranging from IPL Treatments, Secret RF / Microneedling, ND Yag Treatment, and Dermaplaning. All of which have been beyond successful in the treatment and betterment of my skins glow, elasticity, and breakouts.
At the beginning of each and every session we start of with assessing my skin at that specific time. They are so informative and kind with any concerns I have. We then determine which treatment would be best for me and the betterment of my skin at that moment.
Heres a brief breakdown of what the different treatments are about…
IPL: Intense Pulse Light
It is a type of light therapy used to treat wrinkles, spots, and unwanted hair. In addition, it can help with age spots, sun damage, encourage collagen production. It penetrates into the skins layers to convert into heat to help do all od the good stuff like refine the skin and tighter pores. Zero pain during treatment, and no down time after.
Secret RF / Microneedling
A minimally invasive gold plated micro-needles to deliver precisely controlled Radio Frequency energy directly into the deeper layers of the dermis avoiding damage to the skin surface. This produces a fractionated denaturing of dermal tissue (similar to fractionated laser) inducing new collagen and elastin production. Unlike a fractionated laser, however, there is minimal damage to the skin surface resulting in a safer treatment with minimal down time. There was a slight discomfort during treatment. I was red in color immediately after the treatment and felt a hot stingy feeling Little to no down time.
ND Yag Laser
It is a deeper laser that is able to penetrate deeper into the skin, by creating a variable long pulse duration and an appropriate spot size, it is possible to significantly heat deep skin tissues, such as large blood vessels and vascular lesions. There is no discomfort and no downtime. It helps to plump an firm the skin of any imperfections., any acne scars.
Dermaplaning
This treatment is a method of exfoliation that consists of using a 10 gauge scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion. removes all the dead skin cells and also the facial hair, leaving the surface very smooth. is recommended for all skin types except those with acneic skin. is a painless procedure and can be compared to the sensation of shaving your legs, but in this case, it’s on your face.
After each treatment I used religiously Youth Corridors very own customized skin care products. Im so obsessed with them all. I first use the Dual Action Cleanser as my face wash.
